A story will be shared and read in each Story Snack class and kids will recreate a dish from the story or create one inspired by it. This class will connect kids to books, food literacy, language and social skills.

Join us for a delightful afternoon of storytelling and baking as we explore the timeless tale of “Enemy Pie” by Derek Munson and learn to create a delicious homemade apple pie.

In this interactive workshop, we’ll read the heartwarming story of a young boy who is determined to get rid of his “enemy” by making him a pie. Through the tale, we’ll discover the power of open-mindedness, empathy, and the simple yet profound act of making a new friend.

Your child will also roll up their sleeves and dive into the art of apple pie baking. Our instructor will guide them through the process of making the perfect sweet, cinnamony filling and assembling the apple pie. Your child will leave with not only a freshly baked pie, but also newfound baking skills and a deeper appreciation for the importance of friendship.
